1st level Academic Master
OBJECTIVES
The aim of the master is to train experts in the management of cultural heritage, considering the latest requirements of the labour market, increasingly interested in the relationship between cultural heritage protection, tourism promotion and digitisation as well as data communication. The primary objective of the master is to train operators in the cultural and tourism sector through the provision of specific learning pathways, particularly related to the business aspects but also, to the valorisation of cultural heritage, to the communication through appropriate storytelling, as well as to the organisation of events and the digital transposition of data and content.
Upon completion of the learning pathway, the students will be able to:
- manage a cultural organization;
- curate museum sections;
- organize temporary exhibitions;
- develop projects aimed at valorizing the cultural heritage;
- devise tourist routes to valorize tangible and intangible cultural assets;
- organize cultural events;
- digitally communicate cultural contents;
- organize and manage hospitality companies;
- acquire data and digitize contents;
- communicate content within the framework of an exhibition;
- write scientific and divulgative material;
- organize a catalogue related to an exposition;
- curate a museum site.
TARGET STUDENTS
The master is aimed at candidates who are aiming to approach, or are already working in the field of museums, cultural heritage management and tourism planning.
In particular, the master is aimed at:
- graduates in the field of humanities and economics;
- staff employed in public administration, culture and tourism departments and university offices;
- museum and cultural institute staff.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Degree attained prior to DM 509/99, or Bachelor's Degree attained in accordance with DM 270/04 or an equivalent degree attained abroad.
DURATION AND STRUCTURE
The teaching modality of the master is full online on the official platform of the university, accessible 24 hours a day.
The master provides 54 CFU of online educational activities, divided into a common macro module; an optional macro module among the three learning pathways provided, and 3 CFU for workshop and internship activities.
To attain the title, the candidates must pass all the exams making up the learning pathway, and draft a final dissertation, under the supervision of a member of the teaching staff of the master, which must be discussed before a Commission of professors appointed by the University.
The master has an annual duration, for a total of 1500 hours.
