The consultation of the catalogues and the abstracts is open to all uniecampus users, whereas the request for copies/excerpts is reserved to the Professors and Researchers of eCampus University and may be sumbitted by email to bibliotecaonline@uniecampus.it, specifying analytically the object of interest.
Central Library
The Biblioteca Centrale del CNR, founded in 1927, is the largest scientific-technical library in Italy. It is ISSN National Centre and is a National Reference Centre for Italian bodies producing grey literature within the European EAGLE-SIGLE programme. It participates in the ISO-UNI technical standardisation activity and has been the Depository Library of the European Commission (DEP) since 1991. In 2006, the Depository Library, following a new convention agreement, became a European Documentation Centre (CDE). The bibliographic patrimony currently available to scholars consists of more than one million volumes (of which about 100,000 are scientific antiques), more than 10,000 periodicals, of which 6,000 online, including no. 200 in the Pallottino Library and no. 120 in the European Library, and more than 100 databases on CD-ROM and online.
CDE Catalogue
Since 1991, the Depository Library of the European Commission - DEP - has been operating at the Central Library of the CNR, following an agreement with the Directorate General Information, Communication and Culture of the European Commission. In 2006, the Depository Library, following a new convention agreement, became a European Documentation Centre (EDC) and became part of a network comprising 600 Centres worldwide, of which 366 in Europe and 46 in Italy, with the aim of promoting the dissemination of EU information. According to the agreement, the Library receives a copy of the printed and electronic publications, both periodicals and monographs, of the different institutions of the Union (Commission, Council, Parliament, Court of Justice, Economic and Social Committee, Committee of the Regions, European Investment Bank, EUROSTAT) published by the Office for Official Publications of the European Union EUR-Op.
Letteratura grigia
Letteratura Grigia concerns documentation that is unconventional (York, 1978) and not available through normal commercial fields. It contains mainly technical, scientific and industrial material. In this field, the Repertory of the CNR Central Library includes Reports (Preprints, Technical Reports, Official Documents, Progress Reports, Reports of committees, commissions and study and working groups, Market Research Reports); Degree and PhD Dissertations; Reports and Communications at congresses, seminars, round tables, conferences, etc.; Essays awaiting acceptance by academic journals; Statistics and Bibliographies.
Online Periodicals
The update of online resources is carried out as part of the Polar CNR Project "Una Biblioteca Digitale per la Scienza e la Tecnica: dal Prototipo al Servizio" by the CNR SDS Research Area in Genova.
NILDE Community
NILDE is an on-line Document Delivery service software, which is at the basis of a community of libraries (including the Central Library Campus Novedrate) willing to share their bibliographic resources in a spirit of mutual collaboration.
