PEARSON PEIC Computer- Based Test (CBT)
New offer language certificate “PEARSON” PEIC Computer- Based Test (CBT) for the levels A1 to C2.
Starting with August 2023, eCampus online University will introduce PEARSON PEIC CBT. The course will give the students the possibility to study online and take Computer-Based Tests recognized by the MI and the MUR, and accepted worldwide.
The new offer consists in:
A PEIC CBT which will evaluate the following competencies in a single exam session:
- Listening;
- Reading;
- Writing;
- Speaking.
All the aforementioned parts of the test can be taken by the candidate online in less than 2 hours through the use of a PC with a Webcam equipped with a microphone and headset - compulsorily of the type indicated by Pearson VUE - and connected via the Internet to the dedicated platform, with a Remote Examiner provided by Pearson VUE itself.
The candidates may take the exam at home, from work, at school or at one of the branches of eCampus University, in compliance with the supervision and safety provided by the PEIC CBT regulation.
The candidates will receive the results in 1 to 2 weeks.
In addition to the Level 3 Skills Test, available before the purchase of the course, the Pearson educational platform of the CBT certificate will provide the following interactive interactive products:
- MyEnglishLab: online platform with interactive exercises, review units and activities with videos.
- Speakout Active Book: manual in electronic format with interactive exercises and videos available on the online platform for various levels (duration: 12 months from the time of purchase).
- Readiness Test (available only for the levels A2 to C1): Online test on the level chosen by the candidate to identify the achieved level of performance.
- Access to Test Hub (included in the platform) to see the result of the Level Test and to access the Readiness Test.
- One exam voucher: written and oral in a single test, free of charge. In case of failure, the student will have to pay a small supplement for the repetition (see the price list attached, "RETAKE"). The exam can be rescheduled or cancelled free of charge up to a maximum of three times;
- Offline Resources: this tool supports the candidates in the use of training resources and prepares them for the final certification session. It provides specific advice and suggestions to better deal with the final exam, depending on the preparation achieved.
