Modality of Implementation of the Exams 2020/2021 (July 2021)

In relation to the beginning of the new academic year (2020/2021) - assessed the uncertainties related to the current medical emergency - considering the necessity to avoid gatherings during the examination sessions - in the light of the high number of students - the University provides the extension of the provisions for the implementation of the online exams for the new academic year, reserving the right to make eventual changes starting with January 2021.
The following are the modalities of implementation of the exams deliberated by the governing bodies for the next examination sessions.

  • I session (31 August - 10 October): all the modalities and dispositions provided for the VII session 2019/20 are confirmed, including those related to the administrative fees of the online exams.
    In this regard, please remember that:
    • All the further didactic materials provided (practice tests, etc.) have a purely practical/applicative fuction and ,must not replace the study material;
    • The function of the supplementary oral exam is that of ensuring the students' competencies.
  • II session (12 October onward): starting with the second session, the University will reintroduce the tests including both close-ended questions and close-endedd questions.
    In particular, the final examination will be comprised of:
    • 23 close-ended questions, with a score of 0 to 1 (0 for answers not given/wrong andswers, and 1 for correct answers);
    • 2 open-ended questions, with a score of 0 to 2 (on the basis of parameters such as correctness, level of detail, etc. - answers not given/wrong andswers, and 2 for excellent answers).
    Therefore, the highest score is 27: the students wishing to improve their grades may request a supplementary oral exam, as provided for in the Academic Regulations.
The related procedure, along with the implementation modalities shall be published on the academic website upon approval of the academic institutions.




Implementation Modality of the Online Exams – VII Session (15 June - 25 July 2020) – 20 May 2020

With regard to the uncertainties linked to the epidemiologic conditions of the Country, despite having gradually re-activated some presential activities (as of May4) prevalently related to the technical-administrative personnel, granting all the highest safety conditions (in compliance with the DPCM issued on 26 April), eCampus University is providing for the prorogation of the modality of implementation of the exams. The exams of the VII session (15 June - 25 July) will be implemented on the online platform.
Implementation modalities will be the same as those employed for the VI session, except for the resevation modalities and the related administrative fees, which will be published on the students' reserved area.




Implementation Modality of the Online Exams – VI Session (27 April - 6 June)

With regard to the current emergency situation, according to the Rectoral Decree issued on 18 March, the University provides for a prorogation of the modalities of implementation of the online exams for the VI session (27 April - 6 June 2020), without prejudice to different indications from the competent authority.

  • Exam Implementation Modalities:
    • The exams will be implemented on the following platform: esamionline.uniecampus.it. The exams will consist in a series of close-ended questions; the students will have to choose an answer within a pre-defined time. An exam implementation guideline will be made available on the online platform of the University.
    • The online exam is composed of 30 close-ended questions regarding all the parts of the programme, and will be predominantly extracted from the material provided to the student during the lessons (ex. The Gathering Basket). The students will have 30 minutes to answer all the questions. Therefore, the student is required to access in the timetable indicated, otherwise the time available will be reduced (ex. if the student logs in at 9.35, and the exam was scheduled to start at 9.30, he/she will have 25 minutes to complete the exam).
    • Considering the online modality, for the purpose of avoiding the overload of connections, the Secretariat will make changes to the tametable. However, the students will be able to view in their page the time slot of the round of exams which they heve reserved:
      The following are the timeslots of the online exams:
      • 9.30 – 10.00
      • 10.30 – 11.00
      • 11.30 – 12.00
      • 12.30 - 13.00
      • 14.30 – 15.00
      • 15.30 - 16.00
      • 16.30 – 17.00
      • 17.30 – 18.00
    • Please note that the students shall provide the reservations through the use of the online platform within 12.00 P.M. on the Wednesday before the round of exams. No belated reservations will be accepted..
    • The day before the round of exams (ex. On Friday for the following Monday), a representative of the Committee will contact by mail and/or telephone the students who have made a reservation, in order to schedule a virtual call, which shall take place AT LEAST 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE EXAMINATION.. The representative of the Committee will provide:
      • indications on the modalities and the platform (GoToMeeting or Skype)
      • Further instructions for the access to the portal
      The students are expected to have a PC and a webcam with a fitting internet connection. The use of headphones is strictly forbidden.
      N.B. Please remember that it is necessary to use Google Chrome, enable the cookies and never save the password for the access to the platform, otherwise problems could arise.
    • On the day before the exam the student:
      • Shall connect according to the previously provided instructions.
      • Shall provide the commission with a valid identity document
      • Shall log in to the platform according to the guidelines, entering their ZIP CODE and an ALPHANUMERIC CODE provided by Examination Board.
  • Implementation of the Examination
    • During the implementation of the examination, the Examining Board will be tasked with monitoring the correct implementation of the exam. Furthermore, the exam will be registered within the system and will be made available to the teacher in case of necessity.
    • Therefore, the students are invited to concentrate exclusively on the monitor, avoiding any distraction, and avoiding to distance themselves from the webcam.
    • In case of misconduct, the board will have the power to reprimand the student.
  • Results of the exams and POTENTIAL supplementary oral exam
    Once the students will have finished the exam, the following phrase will appear: “Prova conclusa correttamente”. The final result of the exam will be made available in the student's reserved area on the Academic Portal, as soon as the Teacher will publish them..
    The Teacher, may request SUPPLEMENTARY ORAL EXAM for
    • all the students who did not respect the rules provided in point 2.
    • In any other case the Professor shall find evidency of misconduct.
  • POTENTIAL supplementary oral exam
    The student may request for a supplementary oral exam; in any case, the student's refusal could be judged as failure of the exam, or could entail a penalty with regard to the final grade, (based on the evaluation of the examination board).
    The students will be notified for any potential SUPPLEMENTARY ORAL EXAM no less than 5 days before the actual date in which the exam is scheduled.
    After the oral exam, the professor will provide to publish the final results of the exam (taking into account the grades related to potential partial examinations).
  • Complementary oral exams
    As provided for in the Regulations, without prejudice to the SUPPLEMENTARY ORAL EXAM provided for in the previous point, the students who have attained a grade equal or greater than 16, may ask the professor for a COMPLEMENTARY ORAL EXAM , by sending an email to the University branch of competence. The complementary oral exam will be implemented online.
  • Replacement oral exam
    The student, after having reserved the exam, as provided for in the Regulation, may request a REPLACEMENT ORAL EXAM. The replacement oral exam will be implemented online.
  • Further Indications
    • All the LANGUAGE exams will require BOTH A WRITTEN AND AN ORAL PART.
    • THE 1-2 CFU WORKSHOPS/SEMINAR shall be replaced by an ORAL EXAM, without prejudice to the indications provided by the Professor
    • As far as the exams in BIOLOGICAL SCIENCE are concerned, the University provides that:
      • The exams related to WORSHOP ACTIVITIES shall be rescheduled, and will be provided in extraordinary sessions.
      • The exams not including WORKSHOP ACTIVITIES will be implemented online, according to the current dispositions.

    • The Univesity is evaluating possible solutions in order to provide workshop activities, exercises and internships on the online platform.

It should be noted that said modalities are dictated by the current emergency situation and shall remain in force at least until the end of session VI (27 April - 6 June)




Prorogation of the Implementation Modality of the online Exams - 9 April 2020

With regard to the persistence of the emergency situation, as provided for in Rectoral Decree 18 March, the University provides for the prorogation of the modality of implementation of the exams related to the VI session (27 April - 6 June 2020), on the online platform, unless otherwise indicated by the competent authorities.




Implementation Modality of the online Exams - 18 March 2020

With regard to the current emergency situation, according to the Rectoral Decree published on the Academic Platform, the University provides for the implementation of the exams on the online platform until the end of the V session (18 April), without prejudice to different indications from the competent authority.

  • Struttura e modalità di svolgimento della prova:
    • The exams will be implemented on the following platform: esami.online he exams will consist in a series of close-ended questions, the students will have to choose an answer within a pre-defined time.     • Did not respect the rules provided in point 2.
    N.B. The student may request for a supplementary oral exam; in any case, the student's refusal could be judged as failure of the exam, or could entail a penalty with regard to the final grade (based on the evaluation of the examination board). (cancelled).
    The students will be notified for any potential SUPPLEMENTARY ORAL EXAM no less than 5 days before the actual date in which the exam is scheduled.
    After the oral exam, the professor will provide to publish the final results of the exam (taking into account the grades related to potential partial examinations).
  • Complementary Oral Exams
    As provided for in the Regulations, without prejudice to the SUPPLEMENTARY ORAL EXAM provided for in the previous point, the students who have attained a grade equal or greater than 16, may ask the professor for a COMPLEMENTARY ORAL EXAM by sending an email to the University branch of competence. The complementary oral exam will be implemented online.
  • Replacement oral exam
    The student, after having reserved the exam, as provided for in the Regulation, may request a REPLACEMENT ORAL EXAM. The replacement oral exam will be implemented online.
  • Further Indications
    • All the LANGUAGE exams will require BOTH A WRITTEN AND AN ORAL PART.
    • THE 1 - 2 CFU WORKSHOPS/SEMINAR shall be replaced by an ORAL EXAM
    • As far as the exams related to BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, the University has provided that:
      • The exams including WORKSHOP ACTIVITIES will be implemented online, according to the current dispositions.
      • The exams not including WORKSHOP ACTIVITIES shall be implemented online (written + oral exam).
    • d. The exams programmed starting on 23 April are the one provided for the Academic Calendar. Starting the following week, prior advance notice, the University will start to re-program the exams postponed.

It should be noted that said modalities are dictated by the current emergency situation and shall remain in force at least until the end of session V (18 April).
For the purpose of providing a regular programmation of the didactic activities, the students who did not have the possibility to access to the current session (an exceptional basis and subject to a justified request to the Rector) may ask to carry out 3 exams (instead of 2) during the VI and VII sessions.
